Properties, and Uses of X-Rays
- The X-Ray waves are sent through your body.
- The bones absorb it which is why you can see your bones in the image.
- X-rays were first observed and documented in 1895 by Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen, a German scientist who found them quite by accident when experimenting with vacuum tubes.
- X-rays have smaller wavelengths and therefore higher energy than ultraviolet waves.
- X-rays help dentists detect diseases of the teeth.
- X-Rays are mostly used for medicine, to find bullets, broken bones, and other objects in the human body.
